History of our kennel
Our first dog, which we bought as a pet without any breeders ambitions,
was welsh corgi pembroke bitch named Uganda Moravia Mefistofeles, born 3. 10. 1982. In that times, this breed was very rare
and unknown in our country. Uganda had very good character. We showed her only at two shows. In 1987 we decided to have a „litter of health“ with
Spellbound Messenger, dog who was imported from UK. Five puppies were born 8. 6. 1987. On of them, Asterix Higu, we loved so much we could‘t sale
him so he stayied with us. Asterix was really good dog for shows and he became our first champion. He won 4 times title Club winner
and in 1990 World Dog Show in Brno he was res. CACIB in strong concurency. He was also used as a stud dog.
Our next dog was bitch from Slovakia named Fleur z Pembroku (born 6. 10. 1992). Her father Blaizewood High Stakes was also imported from UK.
Fleur overcame all expectations and was not only Slovak and Czech Champion but also Interchampion and 5 times Club winner. She was studed with
Asterix and 27. 9. 1994 the litter B of our kennel was born. The most succesful from this litter was bitch Brenda Higu who reached the same champion
titles as her mother. Brenda was donated for breed to the Slovak kennel Z Old Pembroku (further z Pembroku). She had success also at the prestige
dog show in St. Gallen (Swiss), where the owners of Salvenik Sweet Times (brother of CC winner at Cruft’s) offered us studing with this dog. Mrs.
Edelmann, then president of Swiss Welsh Corgi Club, chosed from this litter a beautiful bitch Hillary z Pembroku. In Swiss, Hillary has many shows
and breeding successes. Her brother Huckleberry Fin became father of another Fleur’s puppies - Clark and Collins
, born 20. 11. 1998. Clark was
beautiful puppy so he also stayied with us. He became Czech Juniorchampion, Champion of Czech republic, Slovakia, Austria and International
Champion. He won 8 x CACIB, many times BOB, 2 x Czech and Slovak Club winner and Excellent 2 at the 2000 European Dog Show in Poznan,
Poland. Together with his mother they were matchless couple – they won Best Couple at the Club Show in Basel (1999), at the Slovakian Club
Show in Devin (1999) and at Czech Club Show in Lednice in 2000.
In the last litter of Fleur, there was only one bitch Daisy Dajenn Higu, born 13. 11. 2000. We couldn’t give her up so she followed whole family to
the new house with big garden. She is a great mother.
On May 2003 our friend Mrs. Brigitt Edelmann from Swiss brought to us a beautiful bitch Heartbeat Heartbeat Havanna vom Moosacher (Katy) breeded by famous
Swiss breeder Mr. Häberli. Day after in his almost 16 years died our Asterix. Until this moment, Katy is very successful at the shows – fewer than her
2 years she became Champion of Slovakia. We wonder, if she will be so successful also in breed.
